With both laughter and tears, Sister M. Lucy returned to the U.S.A. on July 3, 2023, after spending two years in Germany in order to learn the language. She remarked that it was an eventful time and, in retrospect, passed quickly. Although learning the language was top priority, it quickly became clear that Sister M. Lucy had many other skills as well.

In addition to the Motherhouse grounds, other stops included Bad Soden (Taunus) from where Sister M. Lucy commuted to Frankfurt for a German course, and Osnabrück, where she took courses at the university. Her extended stay afforded her the additional possibility of visiting Assisi and Rome.
Now it is time for other tasks in America: besides teaching chemistry she will also undertake the responsibility for translating German texts into English for the American province. We wish Sister M. Lucy all the best and God's blessings for the future. We are grateful for her time among us.
