On September 28, 2024, ten sisters of our Congregation celebrated their Golden or Diamond Jubilee. The celebration began with a festive Holy Mass in the Christ the King Church, celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Johannes Wübbe. Amongst the concelebrants were Fr. Heinz-Jürgen Reker, OFM, who had accompanied the sisters in the retreat leading up to this special day and Fr. Klemens M. Banse, OFM, rector of our Motherhouse church.
The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and joy, as the sisters looked back on their religious life from the past fifty or sixty years, respectively. The festivities provided an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the sisters’ many years of loving devotion and tireless service.
Rejoicing in the Jubilee were Superior General Sister Maria Cordis Reiker and her Vicaress, Sister M. Maximilia Um, as well as Sister Maria Angelis Hegemann and Sister M. Vitalia Hechler (Provincial Superior and Provincial Vicaress in Schwagstorf, Germany.)
