Today, on May 3, 2025, eight Thuine Franciscan sisters celebrated their Golden or DiamondJubilee. The festive day began with a Mass of Thanksgiving in the morning, which was attendedby the Jubilarians as well as many guests, priests and co-sisters.
Bishop Emeritus Franz-Josef Bode was the main celebrant. Concelebrating at the altar wereCanon Theo Paul, who had prepared the Jubilarians for this special day with a retreat during thepreceding days, and Father Klemens Maria Banse, rector of the Motherhouse church. Otherpriests who had accompanied the Jubilarians in their lives likewise concelebrated the Holy Mass.
Afterwards, the Jubilarians partook in the traditional light refreshment. Then the festivitiescontinued with a reception in the boarding school’s gymnasium, where families, friends andmany other guests were already awaiting the Jubilarians. There they congratulated them andexpressed their wishes for everything good for the Jubilarians. Later, the celebration continuedwith close family members.
